My background includes an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry.  This is in respect to outside plant design engineering as well as managing construction.  From actual physical work to on the job training and assessing individuals to managing projects and organizations from as little as a crew to a regional manager position.  Listed is a summary of my qualifications:

·  Program/Project managed numerous multi million dollar projects by providing telecommunication services directly to the customer.

·  Lead Project/Construction Manager with responsibility of managing project financials, scheduling, sub contractors for ISP and OSP projects.

·  Telecommunications, Inside and Outside Plant, aerial, underground, building and buried design engineering and construction for copper, coax and fiber optic designs.

·  Provide CADD, Micro Station & VISIO engineered drawings

·  Design Engineer working with CATV requirement drawings and construction inspections. GO95 and GO128 proficient.

Work Experience

2008 to Present

 

·  Project Manager/Engineer, aerial infrastructure projects for AT&T, Verizon and CLECs throughout the western United States. In this capacity, I managed aerial infrastructure design of joint poles and copper with multiple telecommunications and utility organizations in the placement, removal and rearrangement of existing telecommunication facilities.

 

·  Project Manager/Engineer, fiber optic infrastructure projects for AT&T, Verizon and CLECs throughout the western United States. In this capacity, I managed and engineered fiber optic FTTP, FTTH and infrastructure design projects with multiple telecommunication organizations in the placement, removal and rearrangement of existing telecommunication facilities.

 

·  Project Manager/Engineer; fiber optic and copper infrastructure, raceway and conduit design and Project Manager for ISP data premise jacks, CAT6 wiring, main PBX and building terminal room design. These projects also included the fiber optic ISP/OSP network conduit and building entrance design.  These projects consists of new and upgrading the existing on premise data and fiber optic network for private and governmental organizations making sure that all protocol issues where followed on time and within the allotted budget. 

 

2007 to 2008

·  Designing substructure, fiber, copper, pole line, aerial, FTTN & FTTP building entrances, permitting and relocation projects of different magnitudes.

·  Area of responsibility covered the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Colorado.

·  Preparation of project Scopes of Work and Request for Quote packages.

·  Negotiated with building owners all facility requirements for installation of equipment and room readiness.

·  Performed equipment, CISCO, installation and performed all test and turn-ups.

·  Assured all projects met schedules and came in as budgeted.

·  Provided all documents required in an up and down stream communications of each project.

·  Worked with local, carrier and international marketing groups to establish and meet customer requirements.

·  Assured that all involved groups met established time lines and quotes.

·  Design and Planning Engineering for fiber and copper OSP projects

·  Established and maintained project schedules and budgets.

 

1996 to 2000

 

Operational Manager for GST Telecom with the following areas or responsibilities and accomplishments:

·  Planned and Designed copper and fiber optic loops with switch and hub sites in three metropolitan cities in the State of California.

·  Planned, designed and constructed customer entrance facilities.

·  Project managed eight, multi million dollar, fiber optic long haul projects, approximate distance 1,200 miles.

·  Preparation of formal scopes of work and bid packages.

·  Responsible for meeting schedule and budget projections.

·  Preparation and negotiation with the California Public Utility Commission on establishing and maintaining environmental state requirements.

·  Negotiated agreements with city, county, state and federal agencies.

·  Worked with marketing to meet all requirements for service required by customers.

·  Training Manager on telecommunications equipment, installation and maintenance.

·  Design copper and fiber optic networks, building entrances and oversee the construction.

1.                     Engineering and construction responsibilities for all outside plant, responsibilities as follows:

 

·  Engineering of digital loop carrier systems, which includes, project design, central office and remote terminal layout.

·  Engineering of conduit layouts, pole line construction, business complexes, and outside plant relocation projects.

·  Design and Planning Engineer of copper, fiber, intra-exchange and CATV pole line projects.

·  Preparation of all work schematics using the VISIO and CADD design systems.

·  Facility engineer for structural licensing agreements for all structural licensing applications both aerial and underground facility structure.

·  Designed, planned and constructed building entrance and riser facilities.

·  Construction and turn up of all digital type service requests, which consisted of point A to point Z testing and acceptance.

·  Contract Administration supervisor with the responsibilities of preparation of project bids, scopes of work, awarding, quality assurance, scheduling and budgeting.

 

2.                     Facility Manager for facility installation and repair:

 

·  Managed a repair and installation district of both management and non-management personnel for all service installation and facility maintenance.

·  Central Office Exchange and Toll technicians, with the responsibility of installation and maintenance of various types of circuits.
